My journey with David James Jewellers began in 1996, when I opened my first shop at 26 High Street, Nantwich. It was a privilege to build so many lasting relationships with my customers before selling the business to the current owners in 2009.
Creating beautiful jewellery is a passion rather than just an occupation. I specialise in fine diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery, but what I enjoy most is working closely with my clients to design one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate life's special moments. Whether it's an engagement ring, an anniversary gift, or transforming treasured family jewellery into something new, every commission has its own story, and it's a real privilege to be part of it.
After spending 11 wonderful years living in Kefalonia, I returned to Nantwich and opened the current David James Jewellers in the beautiful Tudor building at 45 High Street. While the location has changed over the years, one thing never has—my commitment to offering exceptional quality, honest advice, and personal service. I still take the same pride in every piece of jewellery and every customer who walks through the door as I did when I first opened in 1996.
I look forward to welcoming you into David James and helping you find—or create—something truly special.

The home of David James Jewellers is one of Nantwich’s most distinctive historic buildings. Standing proudly at 45 High Street, this beautiful black and white timber-framed property dates back to the early 17th century and has been a landmark in the heart of the town for over 400 years. Built on a medieval burgage plot, it originally served as both a family home and a shop, reflecting Nantwich’s rich tradition of independent trade.
Throughout its long history, the building has been home to a fascinating variety of businesses. Records show it has housed watchmakers, drapers, furniture dealers, stationers, confectioners, chemists, outdoor retailers and estate agents, each adding another chapter to its remarkable story. Despite these changing occupiers, the building has remained a place of craftsmanship, commerce and community for generations.
Today, as the home of David James Jewellers, the building continues that proud tradition. Its original timber frame, charming character and centuries of history provide the perfect setting for creating beautiful jewellery, ensuring this remarkable property remains an important part of Nantwich’s heritage for future generations.
